BLS updated its employment and salary data to reflect 2024 information May 15.
Here are seven dental roles ranked by their average annual salaries:
1. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon: $346,490
2. Prosthodontist: $268,630
3. Orthodontist: $259,400
4. Dentist, all other specialties: $247,930
5. General dentist: $191,350
6. Dental hygienist: $98,990
7. Dental assistant: $50,200
