United Concordia Dental has expanded its Smile for Health Wellness product to cover a wider range of chronic conditions linked to increased oral health risks.
The updated product now includes two coverage tiers: Core and Premier. The Core tier covers gum disease care for members with conditions including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, oral cancer, organ transplant and pregnancy. The new Premier tier extends cavity prevention support to members with conditions such as autism, cancer, gastroesophageal reflux disease, Parkinson’s disease, Sjögren’s syndrome and vitamin deficiencies.
The Premier tier is offered as an optional buy-up for groups with 150 or more employees already enrolled in the Core tier, according to a June 10 news release.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
