Dallas-based Smile Doctors has appointed Jeff Knudson as CFO as the company prepares for its next phase of growth amid rising demand for orthodontic care.
Mr. Knudson brings extensive experience working in multisite healthcare finance, most recently serving as CFO of National Veterinary Associates Group. He has also held senior finance roles at CVS Health, Express Scripts, PwC, AMN Healthcare Services and At Home Group.
Smile Doctors currently supports 591 locations across 36 states, and it expects to surpass 600 by year’s end. The DSO secured an additional $125 million in growth capital earlier this month to invest in new affiliations, de novo expansion and support for affiliated practices.
