John Durmon, DDS, pleaded guilty to a Class A felony charge in exchange for a five-year suspended sentence. He had originally been charged with four counts of fraud.
Investigators claimed Dr. Durmon submitted 3,194 false Medicaid claims between September 2015 and December 2017, totaling $186,461. The fraudulent claims were for extractions, fillings and X-rays.
Dr. Durmon has also been barred from being a Medicaid provider for the next five years. He can have the conviction expunged if he does not get in trouble with law enforcement during his five-year suspension.
