Dental insurance company United Concordia has launched a new benefits package that shifts focus from treatment to prevention.

Concordia Clarus includes up to four cleanings annually, wellness screenings and AI-powered oral health technology, according to a Sept. 25 news release from United Concordia.

Concordia Clarus is available to employer groups with two or more employees, with coverage effective Jan. 1, 2027.

“The link between the mouth and the body is clear, yet many dental benefit plans remain primarily focused on addressing problems after they occur,” Ed Shellard, DMD, president and CEO of United Concordia Dental, said in the release. “We wanted to create a solution that goes beyond paying for treatment when something goes wrong. Concordia Clarus is about giving people greater opportunities to understand, protect and maintain their health over the long term.”

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
