Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental has closed its transaction with Alpharetta, Ga.-based Foundation Dental Partners, a 33-practice DSO.
Foundation Dental Partners is a doctor-focused organization with locations in Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Kentucky, according to an Oct. 2 news release from Heartland Dental.
Through the affiliation, Foundation Dental Partners will receive support services from Heartland including operations, marketing, technology, payer relations, human resources and procurement.
Over the past 13 months, Heartland Dental has added more than 110 practices to its network through its de novo and affiliation programs.

Heartland Dental is the largest DSO in the U.S., supporting more than 3,200 affiliated dentists in more than 1,960 practices across 39 states and Washington, D.C., the release said.
