Standard Dental Labs to double revenue base with new acquisition

Orlando, Fla.-based Standard Dental Labs has acquired Dr. Tooth, a dental laboratory business in Dunedin, Fla. 

Standard Dental Labs projects the acquisition to add more than $800,000 in annualized revenue, nearly doubling its prior estimate of about $822,000 in annualized revenue, according to an Oct. 2 news release from Standard Dental Labs. 

The company plans to move the operations of Dr. Tooth to its facility in Sarasota, Fla. Standard Dental Labs expects domestic production to improve quality control and communication with dentists. 

The acquisition was structured as an asset purchase with a combination of cash and Standard Dental Labs common stock, including performance conditions tied to retained customer revenue, the release said.
