DSOs have added the most locations in the South Atlantic region, according to Dentira’s Dental Spend Index.
Dentira launched the semiannual index Nov. 2 as the first dental spend benchmark built on procurement data from 267 DSOs in the U.S., according to a news release from the company.
The report includes data on where DSOs have expanded their network on the Dentira platform over the last three years, broken down by region and state.
Here is how many locations DSOs added in nine regions:
1. South Atlantic: 1,226
2. West South Central: 509
3. East North Central: 442
4. Pacific: 427
5. Middle Atlantic: 385
6. Mountain: 318
7. East South Central: 221
8. West North Central: 196
9. New England: 135
Here is how many locations DSOs added in 10 states:
1. Florida: 438
2. Texas: 353
3. California: 294
4. North Carolina: 283
5. Georgia: 203
6. New York: 186
7. Illinois: 149
8. Virginia: 128
9. New Jersey: 110
10. Arizona: 103
