South Carolina dental school to join Blue Cross Blue Shield network

The Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine will be added Jan. 1 to the Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC network for South Carolina residents, The Post and Courier reports.

The dental school will add 30 dentists to the state health insurer’s nearly 1,200-provider network. All other MUSC Health providers and facilities are part of the BCBS of SC network.

The dental school provides services for children, elderly patients and patients with special needs.
