In February 2019, Ms. Cespedes was arrested on a preliminary charge of performing dental services without a license at her home, according to the report. However, the state attorney’s office did not file charges against her. According to the Miami Herald, Ms. Cespedes instead completed pre-trial intervention on a drug charge.
Miami-Dade police said they saw possible dental patients leaving her condo, which had “a dental chair, a dental radiograph machine, lidocaine, and other dental tools, drugs and materials,” according to the report.
Ms. Cespedes voluntarily relinquished her license and agreed to never reapply for licensure as a dental radiographer in Florida, according to a March 10 final order by the Florida Board of Dentistry.
