  1. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated a lawsuit filed by Hieu Pham, MD, DDS, alleging retaliation against UC San Francisco.
  2. Yonathan Nigatu, DDS, spoke with Becker’s about his decision to join Aspen Dental after graduating from Nashville, Tenn.-based Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry.
  3. Giles Willis, DDS, opened a practice in his Arkansas hometown to increase access to affordable dental care.

  5. Penn Dental Medicine received the first half of a $20 million gift from Carol Corby-Waller. The gift honors her father, alumnus Arthur Corby, who earned his dental degree from Penn Dental Medicine in 1917.
  6. Aspen Dental opened a new location in Marinette, Wis.,the company’s 23rd in the state, led by Katherine Leyes, DDS, and Sandra Swing, DDS.
