According to an update on the Missouri Division of Professional Regulation’s website, dental offices have been receiving calls from a person claiming to be from the state dental board. The dental offices were told they were under investigation and must post a monetary bond. The caller has also attempted to collect payment over the phone or has provided locations to send money.

The dental board said it does not solicit bonds and does not collect payments by phone.
