Dr. David Kim named chair of oral and maxillofacial surgery at LSU Health

David Kim, MD, has been selected to chair the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport, the Bossier Press-Tribune reported Jan. 12.

Dr. Kim is currently a professor in the department and has served as the interim chair since April 2021. He will  continue as chief of the division of head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.

Dr. Kim is a diplomate of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is vice president of the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons.
