The new program will focus on providing comprehensive dental care to medically complex, vulnerable and underserved populations. Residents will complete care rotations in the school’s Care Center for Persons with Disabilities and community-based care centers and work with vulnerable patients such as refugees and survivors of abuse.

Students will also receive an annual stipend plus employee benefits as part of the program, which is supported by a $2.1 million grant the school received in 2020.

The program will be led by Marc Henschel, DDS.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
