Dental plan platform snags $8.1M in funding

Bento, a dental plan platform, has secured $8.1 million in series A funding.

The company plans to use the funds to advance its app, expand a national sales effort and ensure patients can receive care with full price transparency, according to a July 26 news release.

The funding round was led by Schooner Capital with assistance from York IE Capital and Bento’s existing investor Companyon Ventures.

Bento is the only dental benefits platform endorsed by the American Dental Association, according to the release.
