The scanner can construct a 3D image of a patient’s teeth, mouth, jaw and neck to make the procedure safer and reduce the risk of nerve damage, according to an Aug. 2 new release.

Carestream’s technology is able to show the location of nerves, creates minimal radiation exposure and uses artificial intelligence to produce consistent and accurate results, the release said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
