George Renaudin, Medicare president for Humana, said in a news release shared with Becker’s that the insurer expanded the benefits aftering hearing from members, adding that dental care was the top benefit requested by older adults.
Included in the enhanced benefits are embedded dental benefits that cover some major services, a dental allowance that allows members to use up to the annual maximum of the allowance with no frequency limitations on services and a flexible allowance on the company’s spending account card.
