The 40,000-square-foot facility houses the Appalachian News-Express and its printing presses.

The university was given $25 million to establish the dental school in May 2022. Pamela Sparks-Stein, DMD, was appointed dean in September.

Classes at the new dental school are scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025.
