InspireSmiles is a statewide, multiyear program designed to attract young people to pursue careers in the dental industry, according to a March 6 news release.

The campaign will use TikTok and Instagram to encourage people in their late teens and early twenties to consider becoming dental assistants, dental hygienists and dental front office staff.

Dental practices across the state and country have experienced difficulties recruiting and retaining dental staff, especially dental assistants and hygienists, the release said.

The message in the campaign focuses on the benefits of these jobs, including flexibility, work-life balance, pay and benefits.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
