Massachusetts Dental Society donates almost $65K to expand access to dental care

The Massachusetts Dental Society Foundation awarded $64,850 to four organizations to expand oral healthcare access and education to underserved communities across the state.

Here are the four programs receiving access to care grants from the foundation:

1. Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires: $25,000

2. Action for Children and Teens In Oral Health Need: $15,000

3. Dental Lifeline Network – Massachusetts Donated Dental Services Program: $12,500

4. Holyoke Health Center: $12,350

The funds will be used to create low-cost dental clinics for children and teens, provide oral care to individuals with disabilities, fragile medical conditions and the elderly and continue expanding a network of dental hygienists and dental students to supply oral care to uninsured and underinsured patients.
