Dr. Greenspan’s work helped establish the field of oral HIV/AIDS research, the American Dental Association said in an April 26 news release. He and his wife, Dr. Deborah Greenspan, a recipient of the ADA’s Norton M. Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research, identified hairy leukoplakia. Dr. Greenspan was awarded the ADA Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Dental Research in 2012.
