Dentists in Mississippi — the worst state for dental health, according to rankings from personal finance website WalletHub — have an average salary of $157,110.

Salary data is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and was updated April 25 to reflect information from 2022.

The WalletHub rankings, published Feb. 1, scored states out of 100 points based on two main metrics: dental habits and care and oral health. 

Note: California was ranked on WalletHub’s list but does not have available salary data.
