The award was given by the Academy of Laser Dentistry and recognized Dr. Arany for his clinical translational research on photobiomodulation, a type of light therapy, according to a May 19 news release.
Dr. Arany is an associate professor of oral biology and researcher at the University of Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine.
