Pacific Dental Services Foundation grants $70K in scholarships to dental assistant students

The Pacific Dental Services Foundation awarded $70,000 in summer scholarships to 17 students studying dental assisting.

Scholarships are awarded quarterly to dental assistant students to aid in tuition expenses and are given out based on financial need, heart for service and career aspirations, according to a July 5 news release shared with Becker’s.

In addition to financial aid, the program provides students with mentorship and on-the-job training in the field.   

Since 2016, the foundation has given more than $1.3 million in scholarships to more than 200 students pursuing a career in the dental industry, the release said.
