Average income for private practice dentists by employment model

Nonsolo dentists make an average of $86,300 more annually than their solo counterparts, according to the American Dental Association’s Health Policy Institute’s “2022 Survey of Dental Practice” report.

All owners: $259,770

Solo: $229,000

Nonsolo: $315,300

Employed: $188,210
