Heartland Dental officials hope to receive approval on all necessary permits by November or December, begin construction in February 2024 and open the practice in summer 2024.

The DSO plans to use this practice as a template for future offices, especially in the Southeast region, the report said.

Heartland Dental, based in Effingham, Ill., supports more than 1,650 practices across 38 states.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
