The two-year program will be integrated into Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health, according to a Sept. 5 news release. Residents will work under the direction of dental faculty and will collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive dental care.
The new program is part of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center’s goals to expand access to care, reduce health disparities and increase the state’s dental workforce.
David Ciesla, DDS, will serve as director of the new program, which will begin in July.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
