Teledentistry provider Dentulu has begun offering Viome’s at-home cancer saliva test nationwide.
The CancerDetect salivary diagnostic test uses RNA sequencing and AI-driven insights to identify biomarkers in saliva associated with oral and throat cancers. The test can detect early-stage oral cancers, including squamous cell carcinomas, according to a Sept. 2 news release.
Patients are able to collect their samples at home and send them to Viome to be analyzed. Dentulu’s network of dental professionals will then provide clinical guidance and recommend next steps for patients.
