Dental AI company Pearl has received FDA 510(k) clearance for Second Opinion 3D.
The company’s Second Opinion platform is now expanded to CBCT imaging, allowing for automated identification of critical anatomical structures in 3D imaging, according to a May 27 news release.
Structures that Second Opinion 3D can identify include dentition, maxilla, mandible, inferior alveolar canal and mental foramen, maxillary sinus, nasal space and airway.
The clearance makes Pearl the only dental AI company that has FDA-cleared programs for both 2D and 3D dental radiologic image analysis, the release said.
