Pearl granted patent for AI software 

Dental artificial intelligence company Pearl received a patent for the computer system technology used in its Second Opinion chairside software.

The patent covers the learning modules that generate and train image data to analyze dental radiographs, according to a June 22 news release from Pearl. 

Second Opinion is a chairside AI software that helps dentists detect and diagnose diseases in permanent teeth by providing real-time pathology. 

This is the second patent Pearl has been granted for its Second Opinion technology, the release said.
