VideaHealth launches AI Leadership Council

Dental artificial intelligence company VideaHealth has established a council of dental executives to help shape the future of AI use in dentistry.

The goal of the AI Leadership Council is to help ensure the responsible adoption of AI technology to support quality, long-term use in dentistry, according to a Jan. 7 news release. This work will include defining best practices and standards for the integration of AI in diagnostics, workflows and patient communications.

The group’s first initiative will be to create a guide for organizations to navigate AI adoption, including how to evaluate tools, establish governance and measure impact. 

The council includes executives from several DSOs. Here are the nine founding members:

1. Jessica Buehler, DDS, president and chief clinical officer of Great Expressions Dental Centers.

2. Lorri Detrick, president and COO of Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry.

3. Mitchell Ellingson, DDS, chief clinical officer of Gen4 Dental Partners.

4. Seth Gibree, DMD, senior director of clinical AI and innovation at Heartland Dental.

5. Mark Greenstein, executive vice president of strategy and development and chief growth officer at Heartland Dental.

6. Theresa Neuhauser, chief growth officer of Great Expressions Dental Centers.

7. Timothy Quirt, DDS, senior vice president of clinical operations at Heartland Dental.

8. Michael Scialabba, DDS, chief clinical and operating officer of 42 North Dental.

9. Steve Sorrel, co-founder and president of Cherry Tree Dental.
