The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry received a $3.2 million grant renewal from the National Institutes of Health to train more dental academicians.

Five members joined the dental advisory board at Quip, an oral health company. The board was developed by Dr. Maha Yakob, senior director of clinical and scientific affairs of Quip.
