A dentist in Salem, Ore., is set to break ground on a new practice at the location of a former restaurant, according to a July 15 report by Salem Reporter.

Direct payments from private insurance carriers made up the highest percentage of gross billings for dentists in private practice, according to data from the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute. 

The Iowa Dental Board revoked the dental license of Phelan Thomas, DDS, a dentist in West Des Moines, Iowa, on three counts, including improper contact with a patient or coworker and unprofessional conduct.
