The average hourly wage for certified dental assistants is $20.76, according to the 2018-19 Dental Assistants Salary and Satisfaction Survey conducted by the Dental Assisting National Board.

The Dental Assisting National Board evaluated the median hourly wage by using data from the U.S. Department of Labor’s U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics May 2018 report.

Here are the 15 top-paying states for certified dental assistants by hourly wage:
