States with highest, lowest dental treatment costs

The average price for a routine dental check-up ranges from $90 to $137, according to a report from WalletHub. However, the price for other treatment can skyrocket. Patients, on average, pay anywhere from $230 to $313 for a filing and up to $1,200 for a crown.

WalletHub released its report on dental health throughout the country. For the report, WalletHub analyzed 26 indicators of dental wellness, including treatment costs, adults with low life satisfaction due to oral conditions and share of patients who visited a dentist in the last year.

• Alabama
• Kentucky
• Mississippi
• Tennessee
• Texas

Here are the states with the highest dental treatment costs:

• Connecticut
• Maine
• Massachusetts
• New Hampshire
• Rhode Island
• Vermont
