Worst states for dentists vs. worst states for physicians

Hawaii was ranked as the worst state for dentists to live and work in by career website Zippa, and it was also ranked as the worst state for physicians to practice in by personal finance website WalletHub.

In Zippa's rankings, each state was ranked using dentists' median salary, as well as each state's cost of living and location quotient, a measurement created by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Read more about the methodology here.
