Median hourly pay for dental assistants since 2001

The median hourly wage for dental assistants was $21.55 in 2022, a 7.3% increase from 2021, according to the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute.

The 90th percentile for dental assistants was $28.46, and the 10th percentile was $15.12. 

The ADA collected the data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and used the consumer price index to adjust the wages for inflation.
