Alaska is the state with the most general dentists and advanced practice dental therapists per 100,000 people, according to America's Health Rankings.

This information comes from HHS, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System. It uses data from September.

Here are the five states with the most general dentists and advanced practice dental therapists per 100,000 people:

1. Alaska: 96.8

2. Massachusetts: 92.3

3. California: 81.9

4. Hawaii: 79.1

5. Colorado: 76.4

Here are the five states with the fewest general dentists and advanced practice dental therapists per 100,000 people:

1. Delaware: 40.5

2. Alabama: 43.0

3. Arkansas: 44.7

4. Mississippi: 46.5

5. Georgia: 46.7
