10 best, worst states for children's oral health

Washington, D.C., was ranked No. 1 on personal finance website WalletHub's list of the best and worst states for children's oral health.

The rankings, published April 9, ranked all 50 states and Washington, D.C., for children's overall healthcare, with oral health being one of the three main categories. 

The site used 10 metrics to determine the rankings for oral health, including the share of children ages 1 to 17 with excellent or very good teeth and the share of ages 0 to 17 children with recent medical and dental checkups.
