Where pay for specialty dentists stands in 2024

Texas is the highest-paying state for specialty dentists, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The federal agency released updated salary information to reflect 2023 data April 3.

Here is the average annual salary for specialty dentists in 27 states: 

Note: Salary data excludes pay for oral surgeons and orthodontists. Salary data was not available for each state.
