The list was created by surveying more than 10,000 college students in the U.S. and more than 140,000 U.S.-based employees at companies that employ at least 1,000 individuals.
The students were asked which employers they considered as dream employers and how excited they would be to receive a job offer from the company. The employee respondents were asked about their dream employer but also whether they would recommend their current or previous employer.
Align Technology was ranked No. 186 out of 500 companies on the list.
The company has 2,161 employees, according to its profile on Forbes.
