Dental assistants have the highest-paying salaries working in hospitals and state government facilities, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The agency updated its salary data May 15 to reflect 2025 information.
Here are five industries with the highest annual salaries for dental assistants:
1. State government, excluding schools and hospitals: $60,750
2. Federal executive branch: $57,440
3. Management, scientific and technical consulting services: $56,210
4. Specialty (except psychiatric and substance abuse) hospitals: $55,280
5. General medical and surgical hospitals: $54,990
