Here are five notes on the prosthodontist workforce in 2026:

1. The annual mean wage for prosthodontists is $268,630.

2. The mean hourly wage is $129.15.

3. The two industries with the highest pay for prosthodontists are dental offices, where the mean salary is $273,980, and medical equipment and supplies manufacturing, which has a mean salary of $169,300.

4. There are 870 prosthodontists in the U.S.

5. The majority of prosthodontists work in dental offices, where employment sits at 790. Forty prosthodontists currently work in medical equipment and supplies manufacturing, according to BLS data.
