Mississippi has more than 1,200 dentists and was ranked the worst state for dental health.

WalletHub released a list of the best and worst states for dental health in February. KFF provides data on the number of dentists across several specialties in each state. 

Here is the number of dentists in the 10 worst states for dental health:

Florida: 12,003

California: 30,727

Alabama: 2,094

Alaska: 589

Louisiana: 2,196

Texas: 16,324

Montana: 637

West Virginia: 865

Arkansas: 1,281

Mississippi: 1,289
