Although annual compensation for oral and maxillofacial surgeons saw a significant increase between 2016 and 2017, the average salary has declined since, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

2020: $234,990

2019: $237,570

2018: $242,370

2017: $242,740

2016: $232,870
