Alabama had the lowest number of dentists per capita out of any state in 2022, with 41.27 dentists per 100,000 individuals, according to data collected by the American Dental Association. 

Washington, D.C., had the highest number of dentists per capita out of any state in 2022, with 111.64 dentists per 100,000 individuals, according to data collected by the American Dental Association.
