Outlook: The BLS projects 2.8 percent employment growth for dentists between 2019 and 2029, with an estimated 3,700 jobs expected to open up within that period.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon
Unemployment rate: 0.3 percent
Outlook: The BLS projects 2.4 percent employment growth for oral and maxillofacial surgeons between 2019 and 2029, with an estimated 100 jobs expected to open up within that period.
Orthodontist
Unemployment rate: 0.2 percent
Outlook: The BLS projects 2.4 percent employment growth for orthodontists between 2019 and 2029, with an estimated 200 jobs expected to open up within that period.
Prosthodontist
Unemployment rate: 0.2 percent
Outlook: The BLS projects 2.2 percent employment growth for prosthodontists between 2019 and 2029. In that period, an estimated 0 jobs will be lost.
