2 Georgia women practiced unlicensed dentistry for 9 years, police allege

Two women in Cobb County, Ga., were arrested July 23 for allegedly operating a dental practice without licenses, according to AJC.com.

Police claim Bianca Zambrano-Blanco, 35, and Carolina Rojas Morales, 40, practiced dentistry without dental license for nine years. An investigation into the women began in January after a patient reported to the police a botched root canal procedure.

Ms. Morales allegedly told the patient that the root canal would only cost $500. However, a few days after the procedure, the patient reported that her face was swollen.

Records from the dental practice date back as far as 2010. Police are asking patients who received dental work from the two to report the incidents.
