Orthodontics company Byte conducted a survey in June consisting of 1,107 people ages 18 to 83. Read more about the methodology here.

Here are four insights on dental care delays from Byte's survey:

1. Seventeen percent of respondents experienced difficulty getting a recent dental appointment.

2. Thirty percent of respondents waited one month or longer for a dental appointment.

3. Twenty percent of respondents put off going to the dentist because of scheduling issues.

4. Eighteen percent of respondents delayed receiving care for an oral health issue because of scheduling difficulties.
