The organizations responded to the HRSA’s proposed guidance on the Title V maternal and child health services block grants to states. The proposal would eliminate the oral health national performance measure for grants and replace it with state performance measures, according to a July 18 news release.
ADA President George Shepley, DDS, and AAPD President Scott Cashion, DDS, said in their comments that retaining the national measures will ensure that oral health progress is not slowed or reversed.
